AbiWord: the Free, Open-source word processor guaranteed to rock your socks right off.*
*Note: Sock-rocking guarantee void on Earth.
Here are the numerous things I feel like uploading that relate to AbiWord, a project in which I am a bug reporter, occasional patcher, and happy-level-booster. I also have done graphics design for the project. If you need graphic design or web design done, please visit RA Computing, my company and hostee of this page. Thanks!

Art for AbiWord 2.4
- Splash Screen - Based off the 2.3 design, entitled "Your Keyboard Is Trying To Tell You Something."
- Promotional Buttons - Place these buttons on your web site and show your support for AbiWord!
- Promotional Wallpapers - This is a gallery of desktop wallpapers that I made on a whim. The rest of the stuff written here applies to the second one entitled "perspective": This is a desktop background that I had a lot of fun making. It's based on the SVG art for the icon, and is 1152x864. I think it would be sort of neat if upon release, we had promotional wallpaper(s) available for Abi users to show their pride. Thanks to Craig for asking for the Swoosh A image to make his own in #abiword and giving me the idea to make something like this. If I get bored, I might make another...
- Promotional Posters - These are several posters that I grant permission to reproduce for promotional purposes for AbiWord -- print them off and put them up wherever it is legal for you to do so! If you need a larger resolution (these are US Letter at 150dpi) please contact me.
Daily AbiWord Builds
These new builds are created using a VMWare Server and Windows 2000, hosted courtesy of Marc Maurer of uwog.net fame. Thanks Uwog! These "afternoonlies" from the stable and development tree are built from 5:00 and 6:00 (respectively) WEDT AbiWord 2.4 CVS daily, uploaded immediately after (unless there's a problem, before 7:00 WEDT). This schedule may vary - no guarantees that Windows' scheduled tasks gizmo won't spaz, build won't break, etc... These are unofficial builds: they are from the stable tree but they may not necessarily be stable, testing results and bug reports are requested. No guarantee this won't melt your computer and turn it into a Chinese cooking utensil or an conga dancer wearing polka-dots. THESE ARE NOT OFFICIAL BUILDS - the version number is that of an unreleased version: these are neither "sneak prerelease" or what will be released as the version, simply in between the version listed and the previous one. Any build with this particular distinctive splash is a nightly build of the stable tree from this web site. Nightly Splash. The HEAD builds have their own CVS-HEAD only splash, which is not distinctive to this site yet.-

(download the above file here) - The above information says when the last build was completed and uploaded. It may or may not have succeeded, all this says is when the script completed and uploaded last. If the build did not complete, the previous binaries will still be here, they'll just be out of date enough that they work.
- Last Build Log - This is big but should indicate problems if any with the build.
- abiword-setup-2.4.6.exe - The full installer, see below about one little caveat that occasionally pops up. (or at least did on my old system) If this link is broken, look above to make sure 1) that the build completed (file name exists) and that 2) the version hasn't increased in the source since I fixed these links. If (2) evaluates to false, just change the version in the url, then email me to bug me to fix it.
- abiword-plugins-impexp-2.4.6.exe - The import/export plugins.
- abiword-plugins-tools-2.4.6.exe - The tools plugins.

CVS HEAD (Development) Build Status
Sun Feb 24 11:32:53 WEST 2008
(download the above file here) - The above information says when the last build was completed and uploaded. It may or may not have succeeded, all this says is when the script completed and uploaded last. If the build did not complete, the previous binaries will still be here, they'll just be out of date enough that they work. Please note that HEAD is still under heavy development and actually does not build at the moment, though there may be binaries up here that are slightly out of date.
- Last Build Log - This is big but should indicate problems if any with the build.
- abiword-setup-2.5.1.exe - The full installer, see below about one little caveat that occasionally pops up. (or at least did on my old system) If this link is broken, look above to make sure 1) that the build completed (file name exists) and that 2) the version hasn't increased in the source since I fixed these links. If (2) evaluates to false, just change the version in the url, then email me to bug me to fix it.
- abiword-plugins-impexp-2.5.1.exe - The import/export plugins.
- abiword-plugins-tools-2.5.1.exe - The tools plugins.
- "Sum1" AbiWord Nightlies - Sum1 is another contributor (major QA and windows person, rock on) that runs nightly builds. He uses MingW for these builds too, but he doesn't have the distrib problem ever, but only provides the installer. For ample testing, try both his build and my build. Specify in any bug reports which you use: we can look up history in CVS.
- More Information on the Distribution (Installer) builds - The distribution build on my system sometimes runs into problems building the documentation. I haven't noticed this problem yet on the nightly builder, but you never know. If this is the case, then the build will be cancelled after it crashes, so the binaries will be a day out of date. Other than that, it should be great.
